In 2015, I started parenting an unexpected child, my teenage daughter’s twin and nemesis. Her name is depression.

The experience nearly did me in. Which is why I’m sharing my story and my lessons learned. In the off chance it might help another mom or dad sleep a bit better at night.

I am NOT a mental health care professional or a medical doctor. Depression is a medical illness and it can be deadly. So please, follow the advice of your professional care team, not me. If you don’t have one, find one. You’ll find resources in The Real Deal section on my site.
